EastEnders’ Reiss made a decision tonight (Tuesday, January 14) that could cost both him and Sonia dearly.
Viewers know that Reiss is actually the one who murdered his wife Debbie, the crime which Sonia is currently behind bars for.
But Reiss has now risked making things worse for Sonia and landed himself in trouble with the police.
Last night viewers saw the return of Bianca, who Reiss has been keeping prisoner since November. Bianca was seen chained to a couch with Reiss sitting on a chair next to her, ranting about the case.
Tonight the pair’s situation remained unchanged, with Reiss trying desperately to find a way to help Sonia.
After stumbling upon a case from Australia in 2013 where it was found that everyone on the scene wasn’t accounted for as there had been agency staff present, Reiss had an idea about how he could help Sonia.
Reiss then went to speak to Jasmine, the nurse who had testified that Sonia was at the nursing home on the night of Debbie’s death, asking her to go over the list of people again in case she’d missed any agency staff who were on that night.
Jasmine tried to walk away, telling Reiss that they shouldn’t be talking and that all the records had been handed over to the police.
Before leaving she told Reiss: “No matter how much you try and scare me I will tell the jury what I saw.”
Later, Reiss received a visit from Sonia’s solicitor who told him that Jasmine had reported him for ‘intimidating a witness,’ saying that he had jumped her on her way home from work.
Furthermore, Reiss’s actions were going to be reported to the judge in the morning meaning he could get a police caution or something more severe. Plus, there could be serious repercussions for Sonia. How will Reiss get out of his latest mistake?
