Emmerdale spoilers follow from Wednesday’s episode (November 27), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn’t yet
aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale has aired Tom King’s long-awaited downfall in the show’s latest episode.
The evil villain was arrested and charged in Wednesday’s episode after new evidence came to light proving his abuse of wife Belle.
Belle reported Tom to the police over his violent and controlling behaviour earlier this year, but the case had stalled due to a lack of evidence.
Fortunately, that all changed as the police finally secured access to some damning files from Tom’s tablet computer, which he’d previously attempted to dispose of.

Wednesday’s episode saw Tom show his true colours yet again as he clashed with his new girlfriend Amelia Spencer over Belle’s missing top.
Earlier this week, Tom broke into Charity Dingle’s home and stole some of Belle’s clothing to play further mind games with her. His actions backfired when Belle spotted Amelia wearing her top, causing both to start asking questions about what had happened.
As Tom lost his temper with Amelia and accused her of not trusting him, he became violent again by physically dragging her out of the King house. His uncle Jimmy witnessed the nasty altercation and was visibly uneasy.

Before Jimmy could intervene, police arrived on the scene to haul Tom back in for questioning over the files on his tablet.

Backed up by his solicitor, smug Tom tried his best to defend himself, but he soon realised that he was fighting a losing battle this time.
The police’s IT team had found most of the footage from Tom’s hidden cameras, proving that he’d been spying on Belle while she was sleeping, taking showers and getting changed.
The evidence was enough to charge Tom, as it proved that Belle had been telling the truth all along.
Later, DS Foy tracked down Belle at The Woolpack to share the good news.

With Amelia in earshot, the detective explained: “Our forensics team retrieved all of the files from Mr King’s tablet and a lot of the footage corroborates your statement.
“Thomas King has been charged with coercive controlling behaviour and assault against you.”
Asked about the charges filed against Belle for striking Tom with an axe when he’d threatened to kill her, Foy added: “At this time, we will not be proceeding with any case against you.”
Emmerdale fans haven’t seen the last of Tom just yet, as show bosses previously confirmed that his story won’t reach its final conclusion until a special hour-long episode airs next month.
