The final season of “Yellowstone” is quickly coming to a close, with just three episodes left to round out the series.

The popular series, which was created by Taylor Sheridan and has been running since 2018, follows the dramatic lives of the Duttons, who own the largest cattle ranch in Montana.

Part 2 of Season 5 addressed how the show will continue without Kevin Costner in shocking fashion. Viewers learned his character, John Dutton, has died within the first few seconds of the Nov. 10 premiere. But how? That’s still unraveling.

As suspected in episodes leading up to Episode 11, John Dutton’s death has officially been ruled a homicide, which leads to more questions around who in Montana has more information.

Meanwhile a preview clip for the upcoming Episode 12 is packed with shocking declarations and concerns over the future of the family’s ranch.

In the opening clip, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) says, “In my vision, in the choice that I saw, I have to choose between my family and the ranch. I don’t know what it means.”

Meanwhile Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) deals with the fallout of another shocking death.

Predictably, Episode 12, titled “Counting Coup,” looks to be filled with more drama as the family works to uncover more about the murder-for-hire scheme and navigates the future of the ranch.

Episode 12 of Season 5 will air live on Paramount Network on Sunday, Dec. 1. The episode will also air on CMT (Country Music Television).
