Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, December 12, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) lashed out at Catharina Greene (Susan Elena Matus) for shooting Clyde Weston (James Read) and possibly ruining any chance he had at getting info on Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) remains.

 

However, Chad ultimately realized Clyde still had a pulse, so he tried to wake Clyde up and get him to talk.

Clyde was losing a lot of blood, so JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) called an ambulance and hoped they could still get some answers.

That said, JJ didn’t have high hopes that Clyde would make it, so he remained determined to dig around on Clyde’s laptop.

Although JJ was frustrated and upset at the idea of going home to his parents empty-handed, Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) tried to comfort him.

After Gabi pointed out that none of this was going to bring Abigail back, she reminded JJ that they were just searching for Abby’s body.

Abigail was already resting in peace, so Gabi thought she was looking down from heaven and hoping JJ could find peace, too.

Over with Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord), she answered Aaron Greene’s (Louis Tomeo) phone call and let him know that she found their mom alive.

Unfortunately, Cat also had to admit that Catharina slipped through her fingers and was on the loose with a gun.

Aaron was an emotional wreck on Thursday’s Days episode and still had no idea what was going on, so Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) came to his rescue.

As a distraction, Holly helped Aaron make a list of holiday gifts for Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia) and lifted his spirits a bit.

Tate also invited Aaron to join their ice skating plans, but he decided not to be a third wheel.

Later, Tate and Holly shared some cozy moments in the park, so they still managed to enjoy some alone time on Thursday’s DOOL show.

At Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) place, she sought his help wrapping Christmas presents.

Steve insisted he couldn’t do it since they didn’t have a tree to put the boxes under.

Kayla decided they should rectify that immediately, so they went on the hunt for a tree and came back with one that Steve called a runt.

Nevertheless, Kayla thought it was going to be great once they got all their usual decorations on it.

That led to Steve and Kayla taking a stroll down memory lane as they looked at all the family ornaments they’d collected over the years.

At a Vancouver hospital on Thursday’s Days episode, Chad posed as Clyde’s son and told the doctor that he was Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

Although Clyde’s pulse was lost, they eventually got it back and rushed him to emergency surgery.

While Chad was waiting for more updates, Cat managed to track down Clyde’s apartment, where JJ and Gabi filled her in on what happened.

Soon after, Cat headed to the hospital and found Chad, who shared that Catharina was off getting examined since she was in shock.

After Cat and Chad admitted they’d been worried about each other, a cop brought a handcuffed Catharina into the waiting room.

Catharina was sorry for what she did since she wasn’t thinking clearly.

Once Catharina asked if Cat’s siblings were OK, Cat reassured her.

Although Cat insisted this wasn’t Catharina’s fault, she cried as the police officer took her mother away.

Chad ended up comforting Catharina as she broke down.

Catharina also called Aaron back with the news of Catharina’s arrest, but she assured her brother that a lawyer would get their mom out of this considering everything Clyde had put her through.

Afterward on Thursday’s Days episode, JJ and Gabi joined Chad and Cat at the hospital.

The doctor finally came out and shocked all of them by revealing that Clyde pulled through the surgery.

Chad was eager to talk to Clyde, but the doctor admitted Clyde wouldn’t have much to say for quite some time – if he ever had anything to say at all. That’s because Clyde was in a coma!
